The Silver Figures in the Cornfield (Ohio, 1993)

In the fall of 1993, near Wooster, Ohio, two high school students returning from a football game decided to take a shortcut through a family-owned cornfield. At approximately 12:30 AM, they noticed soft flashes of silver light between the stalks. Thinking it might be a flashlight or ATV, they moved closer — but what they saw defied explanation.

Standing in the middle of a clearing were two humanoid figures, floating roughly a foot above the ground. Their bodies were reflective, as if made of polished metal, and their heads were elongated with no visible facial features. The figures hovered silently, slowly rotating as if scanning their surroundings. When one turned toward the teens, both experienced a sudden wave of nausea and dizziness.

Frozen in fear, the teens could only watch as the figures slowly faded from visibility — not disappearing in a flash, but becoming translucent, like smoke. When they reported the incident the next day, they were dismissed. But one of them developed recurring dreams of floating corridors and flickering blue lights for the next decade.
